Due to snowfall in the mountains, the scorching cold in Kashi has increased. The minimum temperature reached 7.6 degrees Celsius, which is 2.9 degrees Celsius below normal. According to the data available with the Meteorological Department, Saturday has been the coldest night this season. Earlier on December 14, 2021, the minimum temperature was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius. This is the second time in nine years, i.e. between December 14, 2015 and December 14, 2024, when the temperature remained below eight degrees.

According to BHU meteorologist, now there will be severe winter. The minimum temperature may fall further on Sunday. There is a possibility of fog increasing. The weather changed rapidly in mid-December. Where the maximum temperature was 28 and minimum 13 degrees Celsius in the first week, it has now reached 23.2 and 7.6 degrees Celsius.
Winds blew at a speed of nine kilometers per hour in the morning
Westerly winds blew during the day on Saturday. The humidity in the atmosphere was 63 percent in the morning and 44 percent in the late evening. By 11 am, moist winds were blowing at a speed of nine kilometers per hour. This increased melting and shivering was felt. At the same time, after 10.30 pm the winds were blowing at a speed of four kilometers per hour. Due to this, melting cold is being felt.
